Terms
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms cover using PayPlayGo to run or join a game. They're written to be read. If anything's unclear, ask us at [email protected].
Who we are
PayPlayGo is run by [company name], [registered address], company number [number]. When you pay for a place, you pay PayPlayGo, and we pay the organiser their share.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or over. Keep your account to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
Booking a place
- Paid means in. Your place is yours once your payment is confirmed. While you're paying, we hold it for you for up to 10 minutes.
- One all-in price. The price you see before you pay includes your share of the venue (and any shared extras the organiser has listed) and our booking fee, with VAT. It doesn't go up after you've paid.
- The organiser decides who gets first refusal (regulars, then reserves, then anyone with the link).
Dropping out and refunds
- Before the drop-out deadline shown when you pay, you can drop out and get a full refund.
- After the deadline, your place goes to the waitlist or anyone with the link. If someone takes it, you get a full refund. If nobody does, you don't, because the organiser has already committed to the venue.
- If the game is cancelled (by the organiser, the venue, or because not enough people paid by the decision time), everyone is refunded in full.
- If the game is moved to a different time or place, you choose: keep your place or take a full refund.
- Refunds go back to the card you paid with. They usually arrive within [5 to 10 working days], depending on your bank.
Games are booked for a specific date, so the 14-day cancellation right for online purchases doesn't apply. These rules apply instead. Nothing here affects your other legal rights as a consumer.
If you organise
- You book and pay the venue yourself, and you're responsible for the game's details being accurate (time, place, price, the venue's cancellation notice).
- PayPlayGo is free for organisers. We pay your share of each payment to your bank once free drop-outs close. Cash you collect yourself is between you and the player.
- If money has to go back to players after you've been paid (a cancellation, a refund, or a payment the cardholder disputes), we take it from your next payouts, and we may ask you to repay it if there aren't any.
- If a payment is disputed, we hold that game's payout until it's settled.
Playing safely
You take part in games at your own risk. Organisers and venues, not PayPlayGo, run the games. Be respectful: we can block anyone from a group, or close an account, for abuse, fraud or breaking these terms.
Our responsibility
We'll provide PayPlayGo with reasonable care and skill. [Limits of liability to be confirmed.] We aren't responsible for what happens at a game or for a venue's decisions.
Changes and the law
We'll tell you before we change these terms in a way that matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim there.
